At North Carolina State University, Eric Holland majored in the Science of Agronomy with a concentration in Turf Grass Management. His extensive course work includes studying the disciplines of soil science and turf grass development. Holland brings this knowledge and expertise to the Sports Turf Management team, along with his dry wit and perpetual smile.

To his credit, Holland has managed some of the most outstanding college athletic fields in the Country, including those at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia; The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

He comes to Sports Turf Management from his previous position as Athletic Field Manager for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association, where he was responsible for a crew of seven groundskeepers, budgeting, game and practice preparation and all cultural practices. He maintained the football facility at Grant Field, the baseball field, softball field, track complex, two practice football fields and the golf complex. Prior to his work at Georgia Tech, Holland was the Head Sports Turf Manager for the University of Virginia for two years and Assistant to the Athletics Field Supervisor at North Carolina State for three years.

Holland also gained valuable experience in recreation field management during his four years as the Fields Manager for South Buncombe Parks and Recreation in Asheville, North Carolina. His unique understanding of turf grass development and soil proficiency, along with his management experience with both college and recreational fields, makes him a valuable asset as Vice President of Turf Care Programs for Sports Turf Management.

Eric and his wife Stacy, an elementary school teacher, enjoy working in their yard, remodeling their home and spending time with their dog, a Brittany spaniel named Zoe.
